Apart from it's religious importance, Bageshwar is
a trekker's paradise. It's the entry point to the
trekking routes to Pindari, Kafni and Sundardunga
glaciers.

The nearest airport is Pant Nagar, at a distance
of 206 kms. The Nearest raihead is Kathgodam, 180
kms.
Bageshwar is well connected by roads with all the
major towns of the area. Taxis are available from
Almora (90 kms.), Nainital (137 kms.), Kathgodam
(180 kms.) and Pant Nagar (206 kms). The nearest
major town is Chaukori (47 kms).

Bagnath Temple
At the very heart of the town, this temple complex
has a cluster of many temples, the most prominent
of them being Bhairav, dattatreya, Ganga Mata, Hanuman,
Durga, Kalika, Thingal Bhairav and Vaneswar Temples.
Chandika Temple
At a distance of 1.5 kms from Bageshwar, this beautiful
temple dedicated to Goddess Chandika stands atop
a mountain. Every year thousands of devotees congregate
here to offer obeisance to the deity, during the
Navratras.
Gauri Udiyar
A huge cave, at a distance of 8 kms., houses the
idol of Lord Shiva.
Shri Haru Temple
nother important hill temple, at a distance of
about 5 kms, form Bageshwar. A large fair is held
here on Vijaya Dashmi.
